Mode at Dublin Tech Summit 2023

Mode showcased at the Dublin Tech Summit 2023.

We had the pleasure of showcasing Mode at the Dublin Tech Summit 2023. The event is one of Ireland's fastest growing tech events and focuses on attracting emerging and established businesses in Ireland, the U.K., and many other countries in Europe.

With over 100 start-ups, the two-day event created quite a buzz. But as a smaller event we found that it fostered the opportunities for longer, more meaningful conversations with visitors to our booth (DTS brings in only 10% of the total visitor count compared to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona - which we attended earlier in the year). This gave us the opportunity to learn more about the concerns our visitors had about the state of communication security and how to best improve it within the workplace. This is hands-down the most valuable part of exhibiting at events like these.

As for some of our other highlights, Mode was selected to participate in the Ignite Start-up Pitch Competition, an event that provides start-ups the opportunity to showcase their innovation. This competition was sponsored by AIB, Hubspot For Startups, and Enterprise Ireland and consists of several stages. FIrst we submitted a 90-second pitch video to the judges before arriving at the event. Then the judges narrowed down the submissions to 25 potential start-ups, with the finale knocked down to 5 finalists who compete on stage on the final day of the conference.

We were thrilled to be selected as a top 25 finalist with the opportunity to pitch in front of the judges at the event. Unfortunately, Mode did not make it to the final rounds, but a huge congratulations to IA Labs for being the 2023 winner! They are doing some great work to improve inclusion and accessible across the internet. We feel fortunate to be alongside such exceptional start-ups.
